![]() The Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) offers real-time services online that include a searchable database for real and personal property assessments, tax maps, sales data, corporate charter information, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filing information, Good Standing Certificates, and a variety of forms and other information. Almost all business loans, settlements and other commercial transactions require a certificate from the SDAT verifying that a company is in good standing as a business entity. The services and information available are of great value to homeowners, lenders, appraisers, real estate agents, attorneys, and businesses. The SDAT has formed a partnership with RESI of Towson University in marketing the banner ads. Student interns from the Marketing Department are running this program for academic credit. These students have been specially selected because of their outstanding academic achievements. Some of the revenue generated from these ads will be used to fund this unique academic curriculum.
